For over 30 years, we've helped young people grow in confidence, capability and belonging in the Croydon Hills community — with five sections for ages 5 to 25.
From your first overnight camp to international expeditions — there's a place for you at every age.
Play, explore, and make friends in a safe, nurturing environment.
Camping, bushcraft, team challenges and real adventure begin here.
Abseiling, kayaking, camps, leadership and the Scout Medallion.
Youth-led, self-managing — you design the adventures.
Service, expeditions, and fellowship for young adults.
The skills Scouts build last a lifetime — here's what sets us apart.
From local bushwalks to national Jamborees — every session is hands-on, active, and genuinely exciting.
Real responsibility from day one. Scouts run meetings, plan camps, and earn awards that matter beyond Scouting.
Service projects, fundraisers, and local partnerships. We don't just live in Croydon North — we invest in it.
First aid, navigation, cooking, teamwork, resilience. The stuff no school subject can quite teach.
1st Croydon Hills Scout Group has been a cornerstone of the Croydon North community since the early 1990s. What started as a small troop of dedicated volunteers has grown into a thriving five-section group with over 118 active members.
The skills I learned in Scouts I use every single day. It gave me confidence I couldn't have found anywhere else.
There's a place for youth members and adult volunteers alike. First 3 sessions are free — no commitment needed.
Got a young person aged 5–18? We'd love to welcome them to the group. No prior Scouting experience needed — just turn up to their section night and say hello. First 3 sessions are completely free.
