Hughes Park Scout Hall is on the Maroondah Highway, Croydon North — opposite Officeworks. Melways ref: 37 C7.
Take the second Hughes Park Reserve entrance off Maroondah Highway, where there is plenty of parking.
Bus Route 670 (Ringwood to Lilydale) stops along Maroondah Highway and can be accessed from Ringwood or Croydon Station.
Hughes Park Reserve is easily reached via the Bushy Creek Trail and the Green Spine Shared Path along Maroondah Highway. Bike parking available at the hall.

Absolutely. We offer 3 free trial sessions for all new youth members. Just turn up to the relevant section meeting night — no paperwork needed for the first visit.
Annual membership fees cover Scouts Victoria registration, insurance, and program costs. Current fees are set by Scouts Victoria — contact us for the latest rate. Concession rates available.
Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are fine. No uniform needed until after they've decided to join. We'll advise on uniform once they're a member.
Parent involvement is always welcome! Whether as a volunteer leader, committee member, or occasional helper on camps, there's a role for everyone. No Scouting experience needed.

Yes. Scouting in Australia is fully co-educational — girls and boys are welcome in every section, from Joeys through to Rovers.
Each section meets weekly during school terms, with camps, hikes and special activities held across weekends throughout the year — usually one or two per term.
Yes. Every section has its own award scheme, with badges for skills, achievements and milestones — building towards top awards like the Australian Scout Award and the King's Scout Award.
Not at all. Alongside the outdoors, Scouts try everything from STEM and creative arts to community service, leadership, and adventurous activities like abseiling, kayaking and cycling.
Yes — members wear a section scarf and shirt once they join. No uniform is needed for the first few visits, and we'll help you get sorted once your child decides to stay.
Scouting runs on community. Families help where they can — from occasional transport or camp assistance to joining the committee or training as a leader. Every bit of help keeps the program thriving.
